Michael Trotter To Take The Stage During Blues at the Bohm!

Albion, Michigan, February 3, 2017 – On February 13, 2017 at 7:00 PM Michael Trotter Jr. will perform live at Blues at the Bohm! Admission is $5 admission and food from Gina’s Pizza and Deli will be available.

Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Mr. Sammy Davis Jr would be proud of this young man. Noted for his works in the United States Armed Forces as an Army War Veteran (Iraq) Trotter is both humbled and thankful to be alive, yet the music doesn’t stop there. With his eager approach to any stage he reels all emotion in when it comes to relating to the world he both served and protected. Community members are welcome to come and jam on stage with the band.

First Blues at the Bohm of 2017 Featuring Martila Sanders & Gee Q

Albion, Michigan, December 27, 2016 – The Bohm Theatre is kicking off 2017 with their first Blues at the Bohm on January 16th from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Admission is still only $5 and food will be available for purchase from Gina’s Pizza and Deli. The host band will be Martila Sanders & Gee Q and community jammers are welcome as always.

No matter how breathtaking the sky, one star will always shine brighter. In the case of the ensemble formerly known as “Gee Daddy’s Big Blues Revue”, even with the cast of players, all solid professionals, bringing over a century of combined experience to the stage and over six years as a unit, it is the Voice and sparkling personality of Martila Sanders capturing the hearts of the audience. In what we are sure shall be the final re-branding, We are proud to introduce “Martila Sanders & Gee-Q”. Featuring an expanded repertoire, reaching across multiple genres, including Soul, R&B, Classic Rock, Blues and an ever growing list of powerful original material.

Bohm Theatre Awarded MCACA Grant For Screen Expansion

Albion, Michigan, October 11, 2016 – The Friends of the Bohm Theatre has been awarded a grant of $70,000 from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs (MCACA). The grant was awarded through the MCACA peer review process and was one of 559 applicants to compete for MCACA fiscal year 2016 – 2017 funding. This grant money will support the Bohm’s ability to add an additional screen resulting in expanded operations and programming. The expansion will provide an intimate 41-seat screening room to facilitate film arts education and intimate discussion opportunities.

The Jake Kershaw Band to Perform at the Bohm Theatre and Premiere New Music Video

Albion, Michigan, July, 3, 2016 – Taking the stage once again during Blues at the Bohm will be The Jake Kershaw Band on July 11, 2016 from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. As always, tickets are only $5 for this increasingly popular music series. Food from Gina’s Pizza and Deli will be available for purchase.

Kids Free Friday Film Festival at the Bohm Theatre

Albion, Michigan, June 1, 2016 – For it’s second year, the Kids First Free Friday Film Festival is returning to the Bohm Theatre! This program provides a safe and affordable cultural event each Friday at 11:00 AM during June and August. It is free for children under 18 years of age. This year we will present the best in award winning international animation films with particular emphasis on animation techniques.
