I’ve seen the movie quite a few times\,” Aikins\nremarked\, “but never on the big screen\, I can’t wait!”\nThe Wizard of Oz 85th Anniversary Celebration includes a costume contest under the\ntheatre’s original marquis beginning at 6:15 pm\, with a grand prize of a hot air balloon\nride for two being provided by Reflections Hot Air Balloon Team. Other prizes include a\npuzzle and game package worth $100 and an Albion\, Michigan prize valued at $50. “We\nencourage people to come dressed as their favorite character\, we can’t wait to see\nDorothy\, Glinda\, Scarecrow\, and even the Flying Monkeys represented.” Wizard of Oz\ncharacter cut outs will be located at several locations in downtown Albion for fun photo\nopportunities before the screening. A full list of the locations will be made available\nsoon and shared on the theatre’s Facebook and Instagram pages\, as well as the\nChamber’s website and social media pages.\nThe Bohm Theatre’s Wizard of Oz Celebration and Screening are made possible by\nseveral community sponsors. “We could not provide these types of events without our\noutstanding community partners and their support\,” said Aikins\, “we want to thank the\nGreater Albion Chamber of Commerce and Visitor’s Bureau\, Knauf Insulation\, The Body\nShop\, Haas Trucking\, Inc.\, Barbour Heating and Cooling\, Anna’s House of Flowers\, John and Jan Shedd and\nDancing Dogs Bakery for serving as sponsors of the Celebration.”\nThe Celebration screening of the Wizard of Oz is being offered at matinee pricing of\n$5.00\, and the Ford Accessibility Discount will be available.
