The construction of the Bohm II is complete and our new screening facility is open to the public!
With a goal of retiring the debt on this project, we are continuing to raise funds through the Lights, Camera, Action – Take II Capital Campaign.

Patronicity Campaign Success!
On behalf of the staff and Board of Directors for the Friends of the Bohm Theatre, we would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the community for supporting our Patronicity Campaign for the expansion of our operations and programming opportunities.
We have succeeded our crowdfunding goal of $50,000 and will receive a matching grant from the MSHDA and the MEDC’s Public Spaces Community Places program. Our total support from the community was over $74,000!
The future is full of endless creative possibilities for the arts, commerce and the greater Albion community as a whole. We will be hosting an Open House in mid-January when the Bohm II Screening Room is complete. Please look for our announcements on our social media sites and in the Albion E-News.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.

“Possibility Becomes Reality”
We’ve all experienced that feeling of anticipation that happens when the lights dim in a movie theatre. It’s that moment when you’re looking up at the screen, and there’s a sense that anything is possible.
And it’s no surprise that The Bohm Theatre since re-opening in 2014 has been a beacon for what is possible.
Serving as a positive community focal point, The Bohm Theatre brings a sense of history and place to downtown Albion.
Building on the success and growth of the original Bohm Theatre restoration, we have raised funds to accommodate the need and demand for an additional screening room.
Our new and beautiful 41-seat screening room increases the number of film and alternative education programs available to the community.
Complete with the same plush rocker seats as the historic Bohm, reclining first row seats and a state-of-the-art projection system by American Cinema, the new theatre is the perfect space for more intimate film series discussions.
A place for multi-media digital production and collaborations.
A new room and screen, filled with endless possibilities for the arts, commerce and the community as a whole.
The Patronicity Campaign raised more than its crowdfunding goal of $50,000 and won a matching grant with funds made possible by MSHDA and MEDC’s Public Spaces Community Places program. Visit this site to see our success.
Thank you all for helping us reach our goal for the new Bohm Theatre screening room! Now we can keep sharing, projecting and bringing to life everything that is possible within our community – for generations to come. Visit our Support page.
Leading gifts for the screening room have come from the Albion Community Foundation, the Michigan Council for the Arts and Cultural Affairs, and the Olson Family Foundation.
